INTRO VIDEO: RLS Summer School 2025 “Feminist Economy and Social Justice – Redefining Paths”
What makes an emancipatory feminist economy perspective so important? At our Summer School “Feminist Economy and Social Justice – Redefining Paths”, we had a closer look at the current economic system and how it’s functioning, or rather dysfunctioning.
Together with our inspiring speakers and participants, we questioned the narrow understanding of an economic system focusing on profit and productivity instead of the well-being of the people and the planet.
Ada Regelmann and Rebecca Trixa, project managers at RLS Brussels, call for a fundamental re-imagination of the economy from an emancipatory feminist perspective. Going beyond merely integrating the gender aspect into economics, a feminist economy should envision a more profound systemic change, promoting a future of equality, justice and mutual care.
