Opening Panel RLS Summer School “Feminist Economy and Social Justice – Redefining Paths”
In a world in crisis, with the planet burning, it’s crucial to build economies that prioritise life and the needs of people and the planet, not just endless growth. For decades, feminist movements have been crafting alternative practices and critical views to challenge mainstream economics.
At our Summer School “Feminist Economy and Social Justice – Redefining Paths” (Oct 3–6, 2024), we were thrilled to kick things off with an incredible opening panel featuring Jayati Ghosh (University of Massachusetts Amherst), Carola Rackete (MEP, The Left), and Jean Saldanha (Eurodad).
Our speakers explored how a ‘Feminist Economy’ approach can unite these transformative ideas from anti-capitalist, decolonial, intersectional, and eco-feminist movements to create solutions for today’s global challenges.
