Labor rights in the Balkans and the European Union

This was the focus of a delegation trip by the Decent Work Balkans network to Brussels from 4-8 May 2026.

With the support of the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung (RLS), Vladimir Simovic and Bojana Tamindzija from the Center for Politics of Emancipation in Belgrade, as well as Drenusha Canolli and Visar Ymeri from the Institute for Social Policy “Musine Kokalari” in Pristina, visited the European capital.

In meetings with Members of the European Parliament, trade unions, and EU institutions, they discussed about possibilities and constrains for progressive social policies within the EU enlargement process as well as shared struggles for social rights both inside and outside the EU.
